This morning I lost my rat. After three, long years, shes gone. It isn't as easy as I thought it would of been, it was beyond hard. Laying in bed, trying to stop crying knowing that just three feet away your beloved baby was suffering. There was nothing we could do about it. So, here I am now, trying to keep back even more tears. Anarchy was everything to me, no joke. Yes, a rat meant everything to me; weird? No. You can love a pet like that even more than you can a dog or cat, and most people can't think of it that way. It was always "Oh, shes just a rat." No. She wasn't just a rat. She was my whole everything. Waking up to her, there.. that way, made my heart break in half. The good outcome? She died with her eyes shut; which means in her sleep. Thank god for that rat, cause if I had never known her, I would of never felt such compassion for an animal, Im sure. She lived 1 year past her life-span, a real fighter.
